Optics Valley Startup Cafe — Startup Competition in Tel Aviv
In honor of the Optics Valley Startup Cafe, a VIP delegation from Wuhan came to Tel Aviv and sponsored, with their government, an international startup pitching Competition.
The Competition included 21 selected Israeli Startups, out of 200 registrations, pitching in front of 5 VIP judges — Nimrod Kozlovski, Partner, Expert Investor, and Lawyer, Eran Lagon, BD and Partnership Expert and Serial Entrepreneur, Miri Curiel, Executive Coach and R&D leader, Eran Yarkoni, Investor and Serial Entrepreneur, and Arie Bar Zeev, Serial Entrepreneur.
Tel Aviv University hosted for that matter close to 100 people to come and listen, learn about the ecosystem, or coming to support their teams.
The level of the competition was very high and the judges admitted having a hard time to select the 3 winners, who will represent Israel for the Semi-final and Final in China, Wuhan mid December.
The finally selected winners are: Navin, an indoor mapping technological app, Plasfree, a med-tech (plasma-related) company, and Newsight Imaging, an advanced CMOS image sensor chips for automotive, robotics, barcode scanners and AR/VR industries.
The organizers, Tech it Forward and Startup East had a great time managing the whole production, and can’t wait to hear the results of the final in China!
